Lyrical Threads Session 10
5 November 2023, 2pm - 5pm
Learn the science of the therapeutic benefits behind fibre arts such as knitting, crochet, weaving, sewing and dyeing. Hear from somatic art therapist Shu Yin, as she shares about why so many of us are intuitively drawn to fibre arts, and their effects on our nervous system. She will also share a bit about her journey as an artist and art therapist, her work with neurodivergent people and why many are passionate about fiber arts. The workshop will include a simple art directive for the audience to do and reflect on their journey as crafters.

Lyrical Threads Session 1
25 February 2023, 2pm - 5pm
Suzanne Thompson, from Hooks, Needles and Threads, will be sharing more about the history of British Heritage Crafts and her journey in craft-making. There will also be some demonstrations of some of the more popular crafts. Try yours hands on Bobbin Lace Making and Dorset Buttons! Come and experience a new craft during our first session of Lyrical Threads!
Lyrical Threads Session 2
25 March 2023, 2pm - 5pm
Come and experience an exquisite tea bar curated by the owner of Petale Tea, Rosemary Kwa, as she shares more about the different teas and their benefits. Taste three different types of tea: Blooming tea, Herbal Infusion, Premium Tea Blend and take back two pieces of blooming tea.
During this Lyrical Threads session, you will also get to mix your very own cup of tea to sample and free flow of tea for all attendees!

Go up-close and personal with the founder of Yarning Hearts and Picspirations Photography, Alexandria Neoh, as she shares of her journey as a mum-preneur with two businesses, two kids and two cats! Get a momento headshot for yourself at a top-up of $15
Lyrical Threads Session 4
19 May 2023, 7.30pm - 9.30pm
Seifu Therapy is the lifting of the skin to obtain more energy, improve liveliness and better confidence.
Learn more about the techniques of Japanese-based Seifu Therapy from Tricia Tee so that you can create a mindful environment as craft at home. You will learn simple techniques to perform this therapy on yourself.
Lyrical Threads Session 5
30 June 2023, 7.30pm - 10pm
A sharing of Shu Ning's interest in needlework techniques and a look back at Momshoo’s handmade brand journey. Come stitch to-gather with her and play with simple embroidery stitches in a collaborative way! Hands-on experience with stitches that spark joy! Come and experience a new craft during our next session of Lyrical Threads!

Did you know you can draw and paint with a sewing machine? Join textile artist, Agy, as she invites you into her art practice, where she will take you on her creative journey, share the inspiration and process behind her textile art pieces, and how she got started as a textile artist.

Something delicious is brewing between JJ Royal Coffee & Krakakoa. Together, we've created a memorable tasting menu of 3 specially coffees & chocolates from Indonesia. Coffee and chocolate have a variety of unique flavours and are deliciously complex. When paired together, memorable flavour combinations are created. Come enjoy and uncover your favourite pairing!

Using leather as a material to craft useful and beautiful goods has come a long way. Today, leather has been preferred choice for luxurious leather goods. But beyond commercial purposes, the art of crafting with leather is a good wat to build friendship, make things for yourself and loved ones, and even a therapeutic way to destress. Come and hear from Daniel and his students as they share their journey in learning how to make things with leather and beyond.
